The Mallala Museum held an exhibition of wedding gowns from their collection during History Month May 2018. The event called "Down the Aisle - Wedding dresses through the years" featured 19 gowns displayed throughout the museum.
When Ron Tucker of Mallala was eight years old he wore this white satin pageboy outfit when an attendant at his Aunt's wedding. Elsie Oliver married Roly Johnston in the Wasleys Methodist Church on 25th November 1937. The outfit was made for Ron by the local dressmaker Miss Rita Hill of Mallala. The two pieces consisted of satin trousers and a satin top with long sleeves, a round neck and a decorative Jabot at front.
