Rae Arney married Ralph Crawford in the Grace Plains Methodist Church on 14th February 1942. On display was the newly married Mrs Rae Crawford's "going away" outfit which she had made herself. It consisted of a floral rayon dress in pale green coloured hues and a plain pale green jacket trimmed with appliqued cut outs of the floral material. The jacket featured elbow length sleeves and tied at the waist with a self material half belt.
