The Mallala Museum held an exhibition of wedding gowns from their collection during History Month May 2018. The event called "Down the Aisle - Wedding dresses through the years" featured 19 gowns displayed throughout the museum.
Myra Davies married Edwin Crothers at the end of WW2 in the Grace Plains Methodist Church on the 13th October 1945. Myra was married wearing a pink wool crepe street length dress. The elegant style featured a long row of covered buttons at the centre back and a flared skirt with a peplum that shaped into the Centre front and was decorated with a small bow. The fitted bodice had gathering over the bust and was decorated with beading around the high neckline. The dress had long fitted sleeves. The dress was made by Myra who had saved her clothing coupons to buy the material. To complete the outfit she wore a flattering hat and gloves and carried a bouquet of flowers.
