KING STREET - c1900

For a time following the construction of the Willaston Bridge in the late 1800’s, King Street was the main thoroughfare to Cowan Street at Light Square. In the picture from the left: Trissie Cheek, Gordon Forgie, Allan Haydock, Ivy Haydock. On the road is Cecil Woods. On the right is J Graham Forgie, later killed in action in France 1918.
