In the front of this building at 8a Wasleys Road, a saddlery business was operated by Mr. Schaefer.  Mr. M.L. Cullen continued with the same business.

In the remainder of this stone building Mr. Joshua Marshman operated a blacksmith and forge business.  Mr Lew Lutz later ran a garage on these premises. In the mid 1900s, Mr. Ernest (Sos) East had a dealership for Shearers Co. and an employee made harrows and other small implements.

Adjoining this building on the eastern side was a long iron shed, in which Mr. Wilf Curnow stored his used cars during the 1930's. 

The buildings have now been demolished, and the site is known locally as the 'Police Block'
