My father Mervyn 'Rick' Tate was C/O of 24 Squadron during his posting to Mallala in 1957 to 1959. We lived either on the Base or in Mallala. I am looking for that address in his records. I was 5 years old playing in our front yard when I heard a Mustang fighter's engine cut out with a plutter and watched as it dived straight into the ground.
