The Pinery Hall, purchased from Thomas Laurie for 30 Pounds in 1936 was the former school building.

An organization, the Pinery Centenary Hall Project was formed and officers elected: Mr T Dunstan (president) Ronald Williams and Alfred Wedding (vice presidents) G. West and D. Bird (joint secretaries) Harold Laurie (treasurer). Cyril Blacket, Mesdames R. Bowhey, F. Ford,, Misses Beryl Adams and Myrtle Hall were other members. The first function, a social evening of games, concert items, cards and dancing raised 5 pounds.

The hall was extended to twice its size and on 4th July 1940 was opened by Hon. A.L. McEwin, Chief Secretary. On this special occasion there was a football match in the afternoon and a ball was held at night with music by Angel's Dance Band.

In 1967 this building was demolished to make way for an attractive new hall built at a cost of $8,373.00. The new Pinery Hall was officially opened on 11th May 1967 by Steele Hall, MP. A ball to celebrate the occasion was held in the hall that night.

An Honour Roll with the names of Pinery and District ex-servicemen and women of World War 2 had been unveiled by Phillip McBride,. MHR, on 26th August 1949. This Honour Roll was moved from the old hall to take pride of place in the new Pinery Hall.

In 1971 the World War 1 Honour Roll (which had previously been displayed in the school) was relocated to the new hall.

These memorials are a reminder of service given to their country by Pinery citizens.

In 1984 the Pinery Hall committee included: Messrs J. Jansse, J. Tiller, M.J. Scott, N.Sampson, J.Franks, R. Barr, A. Tiller, R. Evans, and A. Barr.
