The Sporting Ground behind the Grace Plains Methodist Church is named Moquet Lee.
Mr Jim Nairn gave the land in remembrance of his son Fred Nairn who was captured in battle at Moquet Farm, Posiers - France during W.W.1.
He died in Germany as a P.O.W. on 21-9-1916.
Grace Plains had a football team and matches were played on the reserve. 1926 was a great year when the team became premiers.
Grace Plains also used the reserve for cricket matches and had a very strong team for many years.
Three tennis courts were also on a corner of the reserve and matches were played there until c. 2006.
