The Sporting Ground behind the Grace PLains Methodist Church is named Moquet Lee.

Mr Jim Nairn gave the land in remembrance of his son Fred Nairn who was captured in battle at Moquet Farm, Posiers - France during W.W.1.

He died in Germany as a P.O.W. on 21-9-1916.
