The building was erected for the use of Bennett and Fisher Co. Ltd. in the 1940's and the first agent was Mr Dave Magarey followed by Mr Angus Dillon. Mr Eddie Scriven was manager for about five years prior to the appointment of Mr Colin Gage who managed the thriving business for many years from 1968 - 1990. Brian Manuel was the next manager, who eventually concentrated solely on real estate working from part of the premises. In 1992 Rob Goodwin acquired the business and renamed it Rob's Merchandise and Insurance, selling farm chemicals and general farming merchandise and insurance.
In 2010 it is a thriving business.
