Two Wells Melodrama Group holds one theatre production each year, with seven performances scheduled for May 2010. Six of these performances will be dinner performances (three-course meal included in ticket price of $33), and there will be one matinee (two-course meal, $28).
Founded by Les "Nig" and Bet Williams, the Group's first performance was over two nights in April 1982, at the old Two Wells Institute. Most productions since then have been locally produced and performers and production crew are also mainly local residents from the Two Wells and Lewiston areas.
The Group received Mallala Council's Community Event of the Year award during Australia Day celebrations in 2002 (?), and in November 2009 received an SA Great Regional Award in the Arts Category for Barossa region.
