Fast Facts
Street name Wasleys Road

The following coordinate was not recognized: {{{Geocoordinates}}}.

The building has been used to provide a variety of services to the community since the late 1880's:

  • Lawrences Saddlery
  • Earl's Fruit and Vegetable Shop
  • J.C.K. Reid Fruit and Vegetable Shop
  • Several Fastfood Takeaway Businesses
  • Pit Stop -Mr. Mick Cope

When Mr Mick Cope sold the business, in 2002, the new owners used the premises for a private home.

In 2007 the District Council of Mallala purchased the building and it remained vacant until it demolished in 2009 by the Council.

The area was levelled and rubbled to accommodate a building which is used as office space by the council. A car park for Council Staff has been located on the site.

There has been consultation with the community for the development on the site.

The underdeveloped  state of the area is being closely monitored by the public because it detracts from the other improvements which have occurred in the centre of Mallala.
