On 30 October 1917 when Christina Grace Roberts married James David Dow in the Owen Methodist Church she wore this wedding dress.
The bride travelled from her home at Barabba to the Owen Church by horse and buggy. On the rough dusty journey the beautiful wedding gown was protected with a dustcoat which had been made for the occasion.
Christina's sister Elsie was in attendance as her bridesmaid.
