The foundation stone for the Wesleyan Methodist church was laid on 3rd October 1867.
There are several unmarked graves on this site most being children.
The church instigated a provisional school from 1788-1880 when the land was transferred to the Education Department.
The church closed around the turn of the century but reopened and served the community prior to the new Methodist Church being built in 1934 on Lot 96 Germantown Rd. Red Banks.
